Can't Edit Home Page

  That’s not quite accurate. I can edit my home page. But the page marked as my home page on my page list that allows me to edit it, is not the template that currently shows (and I do want that version to show, I just need to fix it). I can’t actually edit the stuff that is showing and it’s been a while since I last tinkered so I don’t remember how I got that template version posted in the first place. I can’t figure this out. New to wordpress, suggestions are welcome.
