can't edit my pages

  Today I can’t edit any of my WordPress.com pages. When I click edit, a banner appears at the top that says a web page is slowing down the browser, stop it or wait. Either choice and my page still doesn’t load. I’ve tried different browsers, different computers, cleared my history and cookies. Nothing helps. I use these to teach with and must edit them every day. I need to figure this out. This has never happened before. Thanks.

  Can you confirm which pages you are having trouble editing? Does the problem occur on more than one page?

  I use these to teach with and must edit them every day. I need to figure this out.

  While we look into what is causing this, please try editing the pages from your WP Admin dashboard:

  This morning, fortunately, I seem to be able to and the banner doesn’t appear. I did lose an entire day with this so it would be great to have an idea of maybe what caused it, in case it happens again. I appreciate your answer Gemma.

  BTW when it was happening, it didn’t matter if I was accessing my pages through the WPAdmin or the edit button, both ways would get the banner and the non access.

  This morning, fortunately, I seem to be able to and the banner doesn’t appear.

  I’m glad you are able to edit your pages now. We received a few other reports of the same issue yesterday and have since deployed a fix. Things should be back to normal now but do let me know if you run into any trouble.
