Can’t edit my site content as 2 sites are attached to same domain
-
Hi,
I set up a Free site on wordpress.com, imported my XML content from an old self hosted wordpress site and then upgraded to a premium plan before launching and transferring my domain to point at the wordpress.com DNS yesterday.
Site working fine, editing old content, adding new posts etc, no problems.
Today I logged in to WordPress and I now have 2 sites appear in my Sites list – both same url/name, one on a Free plan seemingly from years ago, then the one I set up yesterday on the Premium plan and launched.
Now when I try to access any content it says there is none (posts or pages), even though it is all still on the live site and visible, and is telling me there are x amount of posts in the Admin screen, they just don’t load underneath.
Is there a way to unassociate/delete the Free site that seems to have appeared today from the domain so I only have the Premium one that has the actual content in – if I click into either it seems to take me to the same place so don’t want to risk ‘deleting’ the Free one as it seems to also be directly linked to the Premium site content and would appear if I delete one it would delete both.
Thanks,
Katie

Hi Katie,
It looks like there was still a lingering Jetpack connection to the old self-hosted copy of your site which was causing a bit of confusion in our systems. I went ahead and forcefully disconnected Jetpack from that old copy, which has removed the duplicate site you were seeing in your account.
You should also be seeing the proper content showing up for your katienelson.co.uk site in your dashboard now.
Let us know if you have any other questions!
