Can't edit or delete fornt page text widgets

    New to this. Setting up start of first blog. I used the customizer today, saw the text widgets, and something has gone wrong – cannot edit or delete the default widgets, like ‘Front Page One Text Widget’
    Ideas? I had deleted one of the footer widget so I have 2 instead of 3 – now there are 2 front page text widgets and the 3rd spot says it is a footer three widget – what the heck!

    Keep getting an error when I post in forum – server going thru maintenance – hope this isn’t getting posted every time I try!

    Hi, starting may be overwhelming at stages but hang in there.

    Ok, let’s fix the footer first. In “Customizer ” select Widgets, go down to Footer 3 select and add the desired widget you would want to show. The text that shows “Footer text widget” only displays on your side it’s not public.

    You can delete the text found under “Widgets” > Footer 1 selecting the drop down, removing the text. Those Footer widgets are really helpful for contact details and address etc.
