can't edit or format media in blog posts

    I have a managed wordpress website and blog. I cannot use the add media button to insert images – it is there but not clickable/actionable. Therefore I cannot custom edit, text wrap nothing. I am using the page builder plugin with the mercantile free theme BUT page builder is not active for the blog and I am unable to chose the visual editor this page. I have tried following the video tutorial and various help items I have seen but to no avail. If the pictures display at all they are ridiculously oversized and I cannot format the text to make it look sensible. Yes I have edited the media files in the library but it keeps happening

    Hey there, you’ve posted your question in the support forums for sites hosted by WordPress.com, but your site is using the standalone WP (org) software.
