Can’t edit pages or posts

    Nothing happens :(

    I’ve tried Safari and Chrome. Am I doing something wrong? I’d love to be able to edit my pages and posts.

    Update: I can edit Pages and Posts from the WordPress iOS app, so that’s a workaround for now

    Hi Dave,

    Your site isn’t hosted here on WordPress.com, but just connected here via the Jetpack plugin. It’s that connection that allows you to manage some aspects of your site via your WordPress.com account.

    Usually something like this means there’s a problem with this connection, but I checked the Jetpack connection for your site, and that’s fine.

    The other possibility is a browser issue, though it’s weird that it would affect only the editor – more commonly the entire My Sites interface won’t load with browser problems, rather than the editor only.

    But to rule out the browser, try clearing the browser cache, and disable any browser add-ons you have. Also unplug your modem/router for a few seconds to clear its connection cache.

    If that doesn’t work, please check if logging in using another browser or via another internet connection makes any difference.

    You should also be able to edit them by logging into WP-Admin directly. Go to http://davechapman.com/wp-login.php, and log in using the admin user credentials for your site that were set up when you installed WordPress at your host (that’s a completely different account than the one you use to log in here on WordPress.com). If you’re not sure what those credentials are, please contact your hosting provider, Ionos.co.uk, directly for help resetting those.

    If the editor in WP-Admin also isn’t working, then the problem is with WordPress itself, and not related to Jetpack/WordPress.com. In that case you can ask the WordPress.org community for more help troubleshooting this in their forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
