Can't edit permalink

I made changes to my “About” page, including making the title “About ‘Surly Bond'”. The permalink then appeared as:
http://climatebysurly.com/about-2/
I did not want it called “-2”, so I was pleased to see that “about-2” on the Edit page was highlighted in yellow with a note: “Click to edit this part of the permalink.” However, my attempts to edit were rejected.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

So I’m thinking the problem here is that once you click edit, type in the title you want and click ok, you are clicking out of that page. Before you click out of the page, you must click the “Update” button on the right hand side of the screen or it will not save any of your changes.

The “2” is an indication this is the second time your created the page and the first one has no been permanently deleted form Trash. Do that first and then you can edit. http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#permanently-deleting-a-post-or-page
