Can't edit photo blog pages

  I haven’t tried to edit my photo blog pages for the past few weeks, but when I tried today, no images appear.

  When I go to my media page, all I see is gray squares where the images should be. MacOS 10.13.6, Safari 11. I tried Chrome and the images on the media page load, but hilariously slowly. It will take months for that page to load.

  hmmm, it gets worse. I thought the problem was just with editing pages, but my site has been rendered completely unusable for page visitors. I tried using Safari (I tried Safari 11 and 12 in both MacOS 10.13 and 10.14) and Chrome on MacOS 10.13.

  It seems better now. I notice some other similar problem reports posted at the same time as mine. Maybe wordpress.com was down or hobbled?
