can't edit photo galleries??

Is WordPress changing something with photo galleries? I used to be able to click on my gallery prior to publishing a new post and then an icon would appear that I could click on to edit my gallery, either change captions, add or delete photos but the icon doesn’t appear tonight?!?!?! I click on the gallery, it gets highlighted as usual but the icon is missing where I used to be able to click on it to make changes to my galleries. grrrrrrr…….guess I could delete the gallery and start over to add more photos but I’d rather not do that.
anyone know anything about this? and is the edit button coming back???? thanks…….

update: there isn’t one really. I just happened to notice that I’m able to edit the photo gallery only just after creating it. Why can’t I edit a gallery after I’ve saved a draft? Is anyone else having this issue? I feel like I’m missing something. still hoping someone can advise. Thanks……

Okay, I’m extremely frustrated now. Right now I’m creating a post with a photo gallery. It looks like I get ONE CHANCE to edit the gallery and that is BEFORE I can even view it in preview. So now I’m either STUCK with the way it looks or start over!!!!! and if you haven’t guessed, I am not happy with the placement of the photos and I CANNOT CHANGE THEM AT ALL!!!!!
If someone doesn’t know about this, how do I alert WordPress that this is an issue? Is there someone out there that can at least tell me this please??? I’d appreciate it. anyone?? Bueller???

I found work around. I went into text mode to see if there was some way in there to edit the gallery. No dice. When I went back to visual mode the edit button finally appeared!!! Happiness making! So if anyone out there (doubtful since nobody has replied) is having this issue, I give you the work around.

Hi, I know exactly how you feel. There is a way but it may be a pain in the rear end lol
Start a post, and on the content option bar, click the IMG as if you are going to add an IMG. Instead of check marking it the IMG in your available gallery, click the edit… Then edit each IMG like that 😀 hope that helps.Yours truly, Eva
