Whenever something wonky like this happens the first thing to do is log out of wordpress.com, clear your browser cache and cookies and log-in again. Have you done that?
- You could have a browser issue so try changing your browser settings, refreshing the page, or clearing the browser cache and cookies – instructions for specific browsers.
- Note that when you make adjustments to your browser settings — changing privacy settings, deleting cookies or increasing security — you will need to close your window and restart the browser before those new settings become effective.
- You could try upgrading your browser. http://browsehappy.com
- You could try using another browser.
- You can use this link to see if your flash is up to date.
- If it’s not up to date then this is where to download and install the latest version of flash.
-
Also check your screen options on the top right hand corner of your Admin page > screen options and select all the modules.

Ok, I’ve tried all of the above advice, which I appreciate, however, none of the suggestions have helped. I’ve cleared all my cache/cookies, I’ve tried a different browser, I’ve done all of the above and have followed all the help directions. But nothing has worked. I still can’t access the “Edit Posts” page… it only gives me a “Posts” page where I can “view” my pages, but nothing else.
Any more suggestions?

Yes. Check the main landing page of your blog’s Dashboard and look carefully for a note by staff with instructions to contact them. Is that there? If so, follow the instructions there.

@cubscoutpack494
Are you an Administrator of the blog or not?
See here for why I am asking this > http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/ -
I’ve checked the main page of my Dashboard, but there aren’t any notes for me to contact anyone or anything like that.
Yes, I’m the administrator, I’m the creator of the blog and the only user of it at the moment.
I was able to edit the pages before, it’s just all of a sudden, I signed in one day and couldn’t edit anymore.

Hello again,
Sorry we couldn’t help you resolve this. We do have a report of another member with similar issues. You need Staff help. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ -

Can you Edit individual posts? Like, go to a post, and see if the word Edit appears anywhere. What happens if you click it?
There IS no global Edit Posts page. There’s a page listing all the posts and if you hover over each one in just the right super-secret place the option to edit, view, etc becomes visible. I have NO idea why they do it this way, but they do.

I’m sure they will be able to. Do provide as much detail as possible in your support ticket so they don’t have to email back and forth to get relevant information.
1. Every time support Staff deal with an issue they need to know:
your operating system
your browser
your browser version
recent update to firewalls
recent updates security program2. How you connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
3. your FULL blog address of the blog in question (not the blog name, the actual url that begins http:// Please note: there is no “www” in any wordpress.com url)
your FULL username
your role (Administrator, Editor, Author, Contributor)
the email address that you registered at wordpress.com with for the blog in question
and a very good description of the exact problemI did:
I saw:
I expected:4. If the problem is with a specific page, post or image then Staff needs the url for whichever is in question.
5. If the problem occurred when following instructions in support documentation then a link to it is helpful.

Raincoaster, No, I’m not able to edit any page in any way… that’s the issue I’m having. I used to be able to edit them, so I know where to go for the “hidden” edit link.. but it’s not available to me anymore.
Timethief, Thank you for the info… but as of now, I still have not heard from anyone and I still can NOT edit my pages. If someone doesn’t contact me and resolve this soon, I’ll just have to scrap the whole idea and go with a different blog platform other than WordPress. It’s not been the most user friendly to begin with… now this…. I’m very frustrated.
-
Nobody will contact YOU, because staff doesn’t know you have the problem. Contact them and tell them.
-
I DID contact them…. I sent the issue via the Contact link that Timethief gave me above. (Thank you to Timethief for that!)
Now that I’m writing this post, I figured I’d check my email again…. turns out it was a bug on their side and I’m now able to edit my posts! :o) Yayyy!

Thank you so much! I’m glad too. And again, thank you for the link and for being so helpful!

@cubscoutpack494 Hi. I’m having the same issue you were having but on an externally hosted setup of WordPress. Did they give you any details as to what the bug was? did you have to go through any steps to resolve on your end?
-
@codeblink: If your blog is “externally hosted”, you should be asking at http://wordpress.org/support/
You are currently in a forum for blogs hosted by WordPress.com and our answers will not apply to your situation. Thanks and I hope you find a solution to your problem soon.
