Can’t edit theme header.php file
-
Hi guys,
I want to add php code into the Theme Header (header.php file). For this, in the menu “Appearance” I’ve selected “Theme Editor”, in “Theme Files” selected “Theme Header”. In the opened file I added a simple text and clicked “Update File”. After that, I got an error message:
Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.I’ve tried to search in Google and it looks like one of reasons can be the old Theme. I’ve changed a Theme to a newer one, but when I try to modify the header.php file again I get the same error message.
Please advise, how can I modify that file.
Thanks!
