Can't edit web pages

    Not all, but 50% of my pages can’t be edited. When I hit update, instead of saving, the action leads me to another page altogether on the front side of the site, and always the same page no matter what page I’m editing. It’s frustrating, because I’ve been switching my images over to Cloudinary, and although I’ve got a program to redirect, I can’t get to the images to add alt tags

    I’ve tried plugins; nope
    I’ve tried clearing all cache with cloudflare, on my site, on host’s site, browser and even tried clearing hard cache; nope
    I’ve tried turning off security on computer and website; nope

    This has been happening for some time. I’ve tried theme website (Avada) and they can’t help. I’ve tried my host (namecheap) and they can’t help, so I wondered if I could get some help from wordpress. If it did happen after updating wordpress, I don’t remember

    I also noticed some of the permalinks contain the wrong categories, even though they’re tagged as such. I admit to categorizing articles as an after thought. I could have messed some things up then, but how on earth do I straighten out this mess

    Having a similar problem myself Benny. I was in a draft and all of a sudden the screen went blacnk when I go back into drafts the same things happens. Been like this for a few hours. Can’t help you but just looking for answers myself.

    Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software. We cannot help with this in the WordPress.com forums, as WordPress.com does not work the same as the version of WordPress you are using.
