Can't embed a website w/iframe into my WordPress blog?
-
I was given approval to embed the following website onto my wordpress blog – specifically onto the “Song List” page of my blog. The admin of this website was nice enough to provide me with the coding, but every time I add the code in the ‘text’ tab of my page, I hit the update button and everything dissapears? I’ve tried using several different embedding codes but each time, the codes dissapear from the text tab and I get nothing on my actual page? I’ve read forums stating I must put my code into the HTML tab (beside the visual tab) – but I only have a ‘text’ tab beside my visual tab, which I’m assuming is the same thing? Where am I going wrong here?
My blog site: http://scaraokeentertainment.com
Theme Purchased for my blog: “Soundcheck”<iframe src=”http://www.tricerasoft.com/cgi-bin/karaokedownloads/portal.asp?Portal=brw” width=”900″ height=”1600″ border=”0″></iframe>

We cannot post iframes on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. The software strips the code out to preserve security on this multiuser blogging platform.

Ok the iframe isn’t necessary but can I still embed just the website? If so, how and using what code? I want to have this website showing on my page, not as a link redirecting you to another page on another tab, but having the website actually on my page “song list” ?

but can I still embed just the website
No. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and you cannot embed a website into them.

Let’s put it this way: there is no way to autopost to a WordPress.com blog by design and by policy. It cannot be made into an aggregator.
What you can do is embed the RSS feed of that website in an RSS widget in a sidebar or footer, and people can then click on the titles to go to the individual posts. With visibility options, you could make it only visible on the Song List page, but in a sidebar or footer, not in the body of the page itself.

Ok so if I wanted to do that, how can I? I’m unfamiliar with RSS. What do I need to do this?

Further to this, I didn’t even know my blog was a free hosted site. I thought the $300 I paid into this site was payment to activate my site with no advertisements and to have it hosted? Is there no way to just pay a fee to have my blog upgraded more so that I can embed another website? Or should I just not have a WordPress site entirely if I want to get this done?
