cant embed flickr slideshow on wordpress.com blog

  hello, I cant embed a flickr slideshow on my blog. I grab the embed code from flickr and try pasting it into a post (while in html mode) and all i get when i preview is a link to the flickr site. My flickr photos are public and i allow sharing. I have no problems embedding photos and videos from flickr. I use OS X 10.6.8 and my browser is firefox 5.0.1
  can anyone help? i checked the threads on this subject but can only find v old ones about this topic and they remain unresolved…

  thanks for that! i followed the thread you linked in your reply above. For me, the advice “to insert a Flickr slideshow simply by pasting its URL (http…etc.etc…/show/ ) in the HTML post” does work for me but with limited success.
  The slide show appears on my post but it is justified to the left, if i try to get it to sit in the middle, my slideshow disappears and all i see in my POST is code.
  Also using this method i cannot manipulate the size of the slideshow as it appears on my post, the default size is 400×300 when i would like it to be 600×475. Any ideas on how i can have the flickr slideshow on my post but still be able to manipulate its dimensions?

  The auto-embed unfortunately doesn’t really give you any parameters to work with. Size however should be the width of the main posting column of your theme, which for Coraline is something like 500 pixels.

  thanks justjennifer, but i already tried the gigya shortcode, i followed the instructions to the letter, inserting the code into the html version of my post but all i get when i preview is a smallish black rectangle

  stop the press!!!, ignore my las reply, i got the gigya shortcode to work (i was probably being sloppy in my coding – i bet it happens all the time!!!) So thanks a lot justjennifer and thesacredpath for helping me out with my problem.
