Can’t figure out how to link to internal page – Tutorial not helpful

Okay, I’m going to ask a question that i would never have to ask in Typepad or Blogger so why do I have to ask it here?

Because the Word Press tutorials are not user friendly whatsoever…they assume too much and don’t give you the correct visuals.

My question is: How do I create a link from a line of text on one of my pages (category of my writing) to a blog entry (published writing sample). I

The WP tutorial tells me to click Search but they don’t bother to tell you where I find Search. There is no Search option that i can tell in the Edit mode on my Page I’m trying to link from. There are only the typical link symbols at the top. of the navigation bar. (At least that I can tell. Why oh why doesn’t WP allow explanations of all symbols to appear when you move your cursor over each symbol? Everyone else does. Granted, I know 90% of them but not everyone does!)

So, how do I find the Search feature to find the URL or whatever for the blog entry I want to link to?

I suppose I could always copy and paste the URL from the browser bar (like I would an external page) and do it that way but I would prefer to do it the way WP tutorial suggests…IF I can figure it out!

Please give me step-by-step instructions and tell me how to find the search feature after I’ve highlighted the text I want to link to!

    Thanks so much.

Never mind…I figured it out. The dialog box popped up when I copied line of text and I did see the option of linking to an internal page though the exact word “Search” was no where to be found. It had other verbiage AND it was at the bottom of the screen…not as easy to spot as it in the edit mode of other blogs.
