Can't find $30 font upgrade offered.
-
A $30 (Australian dollar) upgrade is offered on the customisation page so I can change the fonts. But when I click on it, the upgrade page only offers $99 Premium or $299 Business upgrades. Does anyone know how to just buy the customisation upgrade? Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Sorry – new accounts how have the Cable TV bundle Up-Sell Pricing model, since your account is a week old you now need to buy the bundle, probably with features you don’t want, don’t need and maybe can’t afford.
Used to be a nice pricing policy here, buy only what you want or need but nothing extra. Many of us argued against the new Up-Sell Cable TV pricing policy but we lost the argument – Sorry

Thanks Auxclass, but I think we may have crossed wires. I was referring to a WordPress blog website and changing the bodycopy font style.

The CSS upgrade which includes the fonts upgrade is no longer available as a standalone upgrade for new accounts for use on WordPress.COM blogs – the CSS upgrade also allows you to style the look of your blog beyond what a specific theme offers
http://rescuebondi.com/ is hosted on WordPress.COM

The $30 upgrade link/optionstills shows up ‘loud and clear’ in several places on the wordpress blog site. So…It should be honored.

The documentation will be sanitized eventually – the change was areal sore point with many – I can renew my single upgrades as a grandfather clause thing, but no guarantee that they will not double my individual cost – the pricing used to be quite fair here – buy only what you needed and a slow rise with no sudden jumps – I don’t recommend WordPress.COM anymore without a severe disclaimer about the new prices.
I think the new pricing is costing a lot of goodwill and probably some business – maybe the Cable Company bundle up-sell is offsetting the loss

The custom design upgrade you need to do that applies only to a single blog and that upgrade can no longer be purchased individually for any new blog. To have a custom design upgrade on a blog that does not already have that upgrade now requires purchasing either a Premium bundle http://store.wordpress.com/plans/premium/ or a Business bundle. http://store.wordpress.com/plans/business/
If you have not purchased the upgrade bundle which includes a custom design upgrade note that no changes you try out aside from those such as Custom Background, Custom Header, etc. which are stated on the theme description pages in the features column (right hand side) will be visible to visitors.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/custom-fonts/You do not need to load the design tools unless you have the Custom Design upgrade. All of these functions can be accessed from your dashboard – without loading the custom design tools – no upgrade required.
Appearance > Header
Appearance > Background
Appearance > Theme Options (applicable only to some themes)
Settings > Reading (set a static front page)
Site Title and Tagline > Settings > GeneralIf you are using the preview mode for the Custom Design upgrade some of the settings in that mode will save but they won’t show up on the front end unless you purchase the upgrade.
To go back to the free options, go to Appearance → Themes → Customize → Colors and click the “exit the preview” link in yellow at the top of the panel on the right.

If you do purchase either bundle of upgrades (premium or Business) then please use this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform so you can copy and paste your text into a thread that will appear in the CSS Forum where you will get the help you need.

Hi there!
I see there’s some confusion with our volunteers. The Custom Design upgrade can still be purchased on its own by older accounts. You can make that purchase here:
If you’re still seeing the Premium plan in your cart, please try emptying your cart and visiting the above link again.

Does that apply to newly registered blogs (registered after September 1st, 2014) that are registered under older username accounts?
Example: I have two very old username accounts. Under “timethief” I have a private blog registered long ago in May 2012. Does that mean I can purchase an individual upgrade like No-Ads for that blog?

P.S. The OP of this thread is chrisboyd100 and his username account was registered only 6 days ago.
P.P.S. peacefromdespair’s username account was registered on September 10, 2014.

Thanks for pointing that out timethief! I accidentally grabbed the blog age instead of the user age, which are drastically different.
The change is dependent on user age, not blog age. Hence my own confusion in this case. :)

Well, well, well that changes everything now doesn’t it?
Thanks for the clarity. -
Thanks all for your help. Seems like a rather blunt tool to get people to spend $99 on a premium upgrade.
I’ve just been made an administrator on a blog trying to prevent some local tennis courts from being built on by a developer. It’s all freebie work for the local community and the campaign will be over in 3 weeks so not worth spending $99.
