Can’t find a “save” button (first-time user…please help!…)
-
I’d really like the ability to save a post before it’s ever actually posted, but for the life of me, I don’t see a “save” button anywhere (other than on the QuickPress dashboard, which I’m not using). Thankfully, my first blog has auto-saved on a number of occasions this morning, but if it hadn’t, I would have likely lost it. I keep needing to switch the blog to the newest revision if I make edits.
It also seems as though every time the blog is auto-saved, it’s also automatically published. I’d really only like to publish when I’m completely done. I tried setting it to Drafts but that didn’t seem to help – it defaults back to Publish.
Can anyone help?? Sorry, I’m new at this…
Thanks,
Jenny

I’m new at this, too, but what I have discovered is that yes, there is an auto-save feature in place. If you select UPDATE, as well, on the top right side, that will update and save, too.
You can change the post to PRIVATE in the top right corner so it is not seen and published, and when ready, change it to public. This should take care of that problem.

@Jenny
Hello there. In the publish box you will find two buttons. The upper one it “Save Draft” and a lower one is titled “Publish”. Please take a close look at the illustrations in the instructions forund in this support entry > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-screen/
