Can’t find account when user login from invite

I am trying to invite someone to the site i am admin over but when they try to accept the invite though the link. They get the message “WordPress.com Email Address or UsernameEmail Address or Username, User does not exist.”
But they can log in on there own site just fine with the same account.

That’s interesting. Considering the fact that this touches on account-specific help, I recommend reaching out to the staff at help@wordpress.com. They’ll be best-placed to advise you on what might be causing this behavior.
In the meantime, you might want to ask that person to check if their browser is blocking third-party cookies / trackers. It’s something that Safari does a lot (prevent cross-site tracking), and could be what’s happening here?
