can't find 'add media' button

  I’m unable to upload media files. WordPress seems to have updated. I want my image below/above my content. I can’t find ‘Add media’ button anywhere. Please help!!

  I want to get the old version back.

  Hi there,

  We recently updated one of our methods of composing blogs. If you are in your reader at WordPress.com and then click the pencil icon to create a new post, you will be taken to the Add New post page. You are right, the Add media button is gone, but instead there is a place where you can drag and drop media right below the compose window. Additionally, there is a button which you can click to add a gallery.

  Let me know if you’re still having problems finding it!

  Hiya,

  I’m so sorry about my recent reply. I was working off of an assumption that the gallery section would allow you to add images to your blog post, which it isn’t at this time.

  This issue has been reported to our developers, and they are working on it. In the mean time, if you would like to compose blog posts with media you can still do so. You just need to go to your Dashboard and then go to Posts >> Add New. There you will be able to compose and add media to your post just like before.
