Can’t find blog on Dashboard

  I have a wordpress.com blog (vmlay.wordpress.com) but I haven’t updated it since December 2008 because I was in and out of the hospital for months and then I lost my job — long story. Anyway, I want to start using it again but when I login and look at the dashboard I don’t see any way to post and when I click on Blog Stats it says I don’t appear to have a blog yet and would I like to start one. I know I’m doing something wrong but can’t figure out what. I’ve tried search on the forums but I’m still stuck.

  Can someone please help me figure out how to get my blog back to working? And I’m really sorry if this is a dumb question, I don’t know much about these things yet.

  If I can’t get it back I could start over but I don’t want to lose the photos and posts from previous, maybe I should just link to it?

  Are you logging in under the username you originally used when you signed up for the blog, which is ” vmlay ?”

  The blog is still there at http://vmlay.wordpress.com/ .

  I have a similar problem. But I DO have the correct Login + Password.

  I own a number of WP blogs on WP.com and self-hosted on independent servers.

  One of the blogs I manage for a client is named daverichey.wordpress.com. It is visible when accessing the URL as the unfinished blog that it currently shows.

  However, when using the correct LOGIN and PASSWORD to get into the ADMIN Dashboard for the blog, daverichey.wordpress.com, continues to resolve to the blog of the same name that is hosted on a GoDaddy server as, daverichey.com.

  When I view the Global Dashboard, it lists the domain daverichey.com as a LINKED blog, in the Listed Blogs below the Global Dashboard listing of WP.com blogs.

  But! .. the daverichey.wordpress.com is NOT listed there in the Global Dashboard!

  I do own it. I have the Login/Password. When I seek a ‘new password’, the system correctly responds to my email address.

  How in the world do I get control of that blog again.. ?? I’m baffled.

  I’m thinking you’re going to need staff intervention on this as far as I can make out; could be an issue with the domain mapping upgrade or something, but it looks like they’ll have to get in and tinker:
