Can’t find dashboard for my site

  In 2012, site was created in WordPress. It comes up when searched for, but as view-only. I can’t access the site controls.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Since your site 2hpencil.wordpress.com is visible but you lack the controls, you are likely logged into a different WordPress.com account than the one that originally “owned” the site in 2012. Over a decade, it is common for the original administrative email to be forgotten or associated with an old provider (like Yahoo or Hotmail) that is no longer in use. Because the site is “view-only” for you, your current login is being treated as a visitor rather than the administrator.To regain access, your first step is to use the WordPress.com Account Recovery tool, where you can enter the site URL to receive an email hint about which address holds the keys. If you no longer have access to that original email, you will need to fill out the Account Recovery form, providing proof of ownership such as the original Transaction ID if you ever purchased a domain or plan, or the “Activation Link” sent to you back in 2012.
