can't find domain settings

The domain I purchased through wordpress (and which just renewed in May 2016) has somehow been deactivated and it no longer even shows up in my wordpress domain settings. How do I re-activate this?

Hi there,
That domain expired on 21 July and is currently in redemption with our registrar.
If you look at your billing history page you will see the last renewal payment for that domain was made in 2015:
https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/
It should still be possible to get that domain back from the registrar, but they charge a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption. I’ll need you to agree to this fee before I can get the process started.

OK, thank you. It’s strange because I got an email in May 2016 stating the auto-renewal would go into effect this year, so I never even checked the billing status. Yes please I’d love to restore the domain from redemption. The fee is fine! Thank you!

Your account does show an attempted renewal, but it returned an invalid card error, so it could be that the card we had on file for you expired.
I’ve emailed you a link you can use to pay the recovery fee. I’ll be notified when you do and then I’ll contact our registrar to restore the domain. Should the recovery fail the payment will be refunded in full.

I’ve contacted our registrar to recover the domain. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back from them, though I don’t expect a reply until Monday afternoon US time.

Your domain has been restored by the registrar and is once again active. It looks like it’s showing a Squarespace site. Is that correct?
