Can't find enable markdown toggle in settings
-
I’m looking for the checkbox to enable markdown in the settings menu. This link shows an image of a checkbox that’s simply not in my settings.
Under settings -> writing, all I see is “Default post category”, “Default Post Format”, and “Press This”. Is markdown a premium thing?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That is a puzzling situation! I can access the setting for enabling markdown on my personal site.

Currently in the new editor, Markdown isn’t one of the options available. You can still access the old editor (and thus the markdown settings) by going to:
yoursite.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ (replace the yoursite with your blog name)
Then if you go to settings there, you’ll see the option.

I’d like to post html docs created with R markdown:
http://rmarkdown.rstudio.com/html_document_format.htmlShould I do what helper-brucea suggests here?

I too like markdown, and dislike the html editor. I realize y’all have put a lot of effort getting it into shape, I just like markdown.
Is there a way we can get the old editor always until markdown is up and running in the new editor?
