can’t find frontpage template
-
Hi,
I created my frontpage template and i want to add it to my “Home” page that i created so that people can select “Home” from the header at the top of each page and be taken to the home page.
The problem i have is that when I’m on my Home page and go to page attributes to change the template the “frontpage” template isnt there, there is only four templates there which are “products, blank, about, contact”.
I know the front page template exists because it is in the appearance editor when editing the site along with many other templates.
This is all very confusing, please help.
Many thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,
Thank you for your patience! On your plan you will get the answer much quicker if you use the options designed for users on your plan – email and chat https://wordpress.com/en/support/live-chat/
You can select the page that will work as your home in Settings > Reading https://wordpress.com/en/support/pages/front-page/ At the moment homepage is set to display posts and this is the default.
Regarding templates, this is a feature of the themes that have the template Editor, yours is a classic one, and templates are very limited. The themes that have Editor are here https://wordpress.com/themes/all/filter/full-site-editing/twowheelstotokyo.com?s=full+site They are great and I truly recommend taking a look. You would have much more flexibility.
Check also this guide about the Editor: https://wordpress.com/en/support/full-site-editing/
If you have any more questions let me know!
