can't find how to allow/disallow comment

  I am trying to find the settings to close comments for an individual post. The”allow comments” box in your help tutorial is nowhere to be seen on the settings/discussion window. I have a million goddamn options except one that simply says close comments for this post. how do you do it?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Disabling comments in Settings > Discussion applies to future posts. To disable comments on an already published post you edit or quick edit that post.

  I’m in the same situation. There is NO “Discussion” option under my settings!

  Are you referring to a free hosted WordPress.COM blog? If so then go to screen options and include the module. http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/

  Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

  Then every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.
