Can't find my blog on google
-
When I or others search for my blog, it can’t be found? How do I make it public if you can’t find it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Well, the ID you’re posting with was just created 6 days ago, so if the site you’re asking about is also that new, try back in another month or so. 6-8 weeks for search engine indexing isn’t unusual.

Sorry yes I didn’t explain very clearly. I am brand new to blogging and I changed the address for my blog a few days ago. So the old address comes up when you search and says its no longer available which is correct, but the new address – mumof2chicks.wordpress can’t be found?? The first one showed up immediately! Just not sure if I’ve pressed the wrong button somewhere as I have no idea yet. Just wanting to share my blog on Instagram at the moment :) thank you!

I see people blithely changing URLs ever day here and wonder if they comprehend the ramifications of doing so. You will have to publish like crazy to drive the existing search results for the original URL down the page.
notawoodpecker is learning from the regular Volunteers what the correct answers are. He is correct. It takes time and frequent publication of content that cannot be found elsewhere on the internet for search engines to discover your content and index it. Google recommends the XML sitemap as the best means of communicating site specific data and WordPress.com automatically generates an XML sitemap for your blog – you do nothing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/#xml-sitemaps-for-search-engines
