can't find my blog/webpage

hi. all browsers say “oops! cant find that webpage!” when i try to access my site externally or internally. i recently put my website, hefti.ru, under construction because some kind of malicious software had attached itself to my site, or something like that. anyway, now it seems to have disappeared totally.
logging in here i see my two blogs, “Professional Business English” is the one I use as my professional website….but now it’s gone!
anyway, my domain provider told me to write find out what is the DNS Server here at wordpress, or something like this? I am not really sure what that means…. but can you provide to me “what is my DNS Server”?
    Thank you!!
    Jared

When I do a whois for your domain hefti.ru, I see that the site is not hosted with WordPress.com, so there will be very little we can do to assist you with your site, since it is hosted elsewhere and we don’t have access to your site or files associated with it.

However, your problem could be with your name servers.

When I look it up: http://who.is/whois/hefti.ru
I see you have one name server as ns1.hosting.reg.ru. with a trailing period, which may be part of the issue. You also have wordpress.org listed as a name server, which is definitely incorrect.

You may wish to contact your hosting provider for correct name servers, which you can then update with your domain registrar.

thank you jackiedana for your time and help. I think my ‘hosting provider’ is who i bought my domain name from, and who i pay annually for my domain, right? they are a russian website, “2domains.ru”. i DID contact them, and they told me to write to WordPress and find out what is my DNS Server…? So….you ARE WordPress? Okay. So I will write to “2domains” again and ask them for the right servers to put in my domain settings. …i think.
whoever i pay every year to keep my domain name, is my “host”, yes?

“ns1.hosting.reg.ru.” has been listed in my domain registrar since i started my site 2 years ago; but “wordpress.org” i just added this month. “ns1.hosting.reg.ru.” was listed twice in the settings. i’ll try to put it back to normal, without the trailing period and without the “wordpress.org”.

but why did my site disappear when i put it “under construction”, about a month ago?
if it matters, this all began because about a year ago my site was infected by a virus or something: whenever anyone tried to go to my site, the browser warned of “malicious content ahead” or whatever… and so Google told me to clean up my site and disable while i do it, but now no browser can find my site.

    anyway! i push forward somehow!
thank you so very much for caring about my problems, it’s probably a job with not much reward or incentive. but, it’s important to me.

I was told by my Host to ask what is your, wordpress’s, DNS?

Neither your domain nor your hosting is with WordPress.com. Unless you are planning to point your site to a site hosted with us, there’s really nothing we can do here to assist you. You will need to work with 2domains.ru to sort out any problems with your site, since we at WordPress.com have no access to it.

It might be helpful to note that WordPress.com is one hosting platform for WordPress sites, but you can host a site running WordPress (from WordPress.org) on many different hosting services, and that’s what it appears you’re currently doing.

If you wish to use WordPress.com, the following document will help you point your name servers to us:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/

Otherwise, I’d recommend seeking more assistance on the WordPress.org forums, which exist for sites hosted elsewhere:
