Hi. Plugins and ecommerce are features of WordPress.ORG, not WordPress.COM where you are right now.

but the Archive Widget Plugin is a wordpress.com feature?
(I cant find “plugins” on my wordpress menu) -
Sorry, plugins are not allowed at wordpress.COM for security reasons. Plugins are for self-hosted blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG.

Shopping carts and ecommerce are not really a go here. If you want to do ecommerce, you will have to self-host a wordpress installation on a third-party hosting service such as godaddy, bluehost, etc., using the software from wordpress.ORG.
Figure $15 to $30 per month give or take. That could go up though if you need an SSL certificate and dedicated IP address for whatever package you decide on. I’ve set up a couple that ended up at about $50 per month, but they were on more expensive hosting services.
