Can’t find my site

I changed my url to my married name, and now I can’t get to my site when I type in my new url. I am told my site no longer exists. How can I fix this problem?

@janenhenry can you confirm which site you’re having trouble reaching? I can see you have several sites here (which should all be listed under WordPress.com > My Sites if you click Switch Site).

My wordpress account and website come up when I type the url — janenewtonfalany.wordpress.com. But if I search by name — MS With a southern accent – – nothing comes up. And if I look at my stats, it looks as if no one has visited my site for weeks. That has never happened, so it makes me think something’s wrong somewhere. I would appreciate any help you could give me. Thanks!

Are you searching the Reader or somewhere else?
And if I look at my stats, it looks as if no one has visited my site for weeks.
I checked the stats for janenewtonfalany.wordpress.com and while they have dropped, I can see visitors were recorded on 1st, 2nd, 5th, 11th and 16th December. I can’t see anything wrong with the site itself, which suggests this is most likely a natural traffic fluctuation.

Okay, I typed “MS With a southern accent” in a search browser and was indeed linked to the old address, which you deleted.
If you want to redirect the old address to the new one, we’ll need to do two things:
– Staff will need to restore the old address for you (you deleted it less than 30 days ago, so this is still possible)
– You will then need to purchase a redirect upgrade, which will send users from the old site to the new one. This won’t be necessary forever, just until links get updated. Our system will automatically inform search engines of the update, too.
Would you like us to go ahead and restore the site so you can buy the redirect for it?

I tried to buy the site redirect, but it said the site didn’t exist or something – – I can’t seem to get back to that message – – so I thought maybe I typed it in wrong and tried to redirect again, but it said it had already been redirected. I’m really confused — can you confirm that the redirect worked?

If it’s flashing (more of a fading than a flashing) it typically means it’s trying to load a script and is just taking time.
Also it looks like you already have the redirect upgrade in the shopping cart. Are you able to just go straight to checkout?

When I try to checkout, it gives me this message:
No site exists at that address. Do you want to change your site address?What should I do now?

It’s still not allowing me to pay. I’m getting the same message at the top of the screen with a question about wanting to change my side address, but there’s no way to say yes in response to that question. Please help. Thank you. I’m trying to get Falany on there I don’t know

Howdy – Have you tried clearing out your browser cache? Then give it one more try.
