can’t find or search for my title within wordpress or google
-
Hi, my blog is Confessions of a Florentine Pet Sitter. The first URL is cattaleconfessions.wordpress.com. I can’t seem to locate it within/using in the wordpress.com search bar, nor does it return a positive result when I search in Google.
What am I doing wrong?
If I am a normal viewer searching for a blog, what do I do? Are their search engines that just search blogs, or can it be found using the standard google search?
The only thing I can get to is my account dashboard and the pages, but there’s always an edit button which I don’t want the viewer to have access to.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

2 days old with 1 page and NO Posts?
There are many threads on why you can’t be found on Google. Lots of good advice in them. Just page down the Forums.

It’s not uncommon for 4 – 6 weeks to pass before your posts will be returned in search engine results. Have you verified your blog with the big three search engines yet? if not here’s a link you will need > http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/
This post contains 10 factors that may expedite the process as well as links to tools > http://www.onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/01/21/omg-i-cant-find-my-blog-on-google/ -
Thank you for responding so quickly. There are so many aspects of wordpress.com that I find confusing. I was assuming that within WordPress search my first page would be found, But I think now I know why it wasn’t.
There is a difference between creating a page and creating a post. Not sure yet what it is and how it works. Before I had simply created a page and clicked on update thinking that would upload. Then this morning I created a post, clicked on upload, and when I googled my URL, it was there.
I oviously have not figured out how to work the system, and much of the forum does not address my very basic questions of what to do first, the difference between post and page, etc. There does not seem to be an internal dictionary of explanations of your language – IE this is what happens if you click here, or before you do this you need to do that, etc.I can see it is going to take me a while. I managed to get something posted today, but it looks a mess!
Thanks gain for your helpful advice.

It’s a learning curve but if you proceed slowly and understand what you are doing as you learn to do it you will master use of the software.1. This is the link to the support documentation http://en.support.wordpress.com you will find it at the head of this forum “Support”.
2. On your Dashboard click the HELP link on the top right hand corner and it’s the same link.
3. On the gray navigation bar at the top of your blog on the far left side under “My Account” you will find “support” and it’s the same link.
4. At the bottom of pages on the Admin side of your blog you also find “Support” it’s the same link. :-)There is a difference between creating a page and creating a post. Not sure yet what it is and how it works
Please see here for the differences between static pages and posts >

This will also help clarify the differences and SEO implications of choosing to have a page based structure like a mock website, rather than choosing to retaining a conventional post based structure. > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/05/12/better-blogging-at-wordpress-com-pages-and-posts/ -
Also be aware that it’s important for search returns to assign relevant categories and tags to your posts. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories-vs-tags/
The Global Tag Listings at WordPress.com aggregate all published posts attached to any particular tag or category. The posts are filed immediately following publication under categories and tags in accord with the time/date stamp on the posts. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/global-tags/
