Can’t find settings to change my blog name

I made a typo when doing my blog name and can’t find how to change it. Every forum topic has said to go to the dashboard then settings -> general but the only settings page I can find is Personal Settings which doesn’t offer the option to change your blog title. I’m new to wordpress, please help!

Again… I cannot find the right settings!!!!!!!!!!! I can get to general settings but NOTHING “general” is there.

Let’s start with this so we can be sure you are actually in the blog dashboard and not in the global dashboard. Please post the link for the blog in question starting with http:// Then we will work from there.

On the very top of the gray navigation bar on your left hand side you will see “My Account” it has a dropdown menu. Please click “My Blogs”. If you are on the global dashboard then clicking it will place you in the the Admin section of your blog on a different dashboard.

Were you on the global dashboard? It sounded like you were to me. Here’s are a couple of tips.
Dashboard > Setting > Writing
look for this and checkmark it
___ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically
scroll down and click “Save Changes”Dashboard > Users > Personal Settings
look for this and make sure it’s NOT checkmarked unless you only want to work in HTML mode in the editor
Visual Editor
___ Disable the visual editor when writing
scroll down and click “Save Changes”
