can't find solution in forum

I contacted my domain host with the following message as suggested:
My domain’s name servers are currently pointed to WordPress.com. Could you please provide me with the complete MX and/or other DNS records I will need to enter on WordPress.com’s end, so that my email on this domain will work?
They told me I would have to purchase a hosting package to get e-mail. They said that WordPress doesn’t offer e-mail. Is there any other way than me having to purchase a hosting package with them? Can I move my domain name to wordpress for example?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

You can use our built-in Email Forwarding feature, if you’d like. That allows you to forward email from a custom email address with your domain name in it to your regular email address.

Another option is to Add Email from a third-party email service. If you choose one of those services and want help getting it set up with your domain, let me know and I can help you enter the details you need on this end. :)

Thank you. I have my domain name with another provider and would like to move it to WordPress so everything is in one place. I believe this is included with the Premium Plan?
Currently, I can’t add e-mail: “This domain currently has custom mail servers defined in its DNS settings. This means that WordPress.com Email Forwarding is not available for this domain, and that you should manage your email with your email provider. “
Could I just have e-mail forwarding if I have my domain name stored with WordPress?

    Hi there,

WordPress.com currently can’t accept incoming domain transfers (to move a domain’s registration from a different domain registrar to WordPress.com) so you’ll need to keep the domain registered where it is.

However, the same email options are available for your mapped domain. I just checked your domain’s DNS (on the Edit DNS tab in the domain manager), and it has a couple email records for stopspam.ca. Do you have email service there?

If so, you can continue using that email service with your domain here at WordPress.com. If not, you can delete those two records for stopspam.ca from your domain (or let me know and I can delete them for you) and then you’ll be able to set up email forwarding if you’d prefer that.

Yes, please delete them and then if you could help me set up e-mail forwarding, that would be great!

Sure thing! I just deleted those email records, so now you can edit your domain on the My Domains page and go to the Email tab to set up email forwarding there.

Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
