Can't find sticky option when making a post public.
-
Hi,
I noticed I can no longer see the sticky tick box when making a post public. The link I’m attaching shows that tickbox and the instructions on how to make something stick. Why is this option gone? Can you please bring it back and let me know what I need to do to make my posts stick to the front?
Cheers,

Good timing – I just pulled up a blog that I have a sticky on, and like you I no longer see a box to check or uncheck… I’ll do some Googling and let you know if I find any answers from WordPress.

I have no trouble at all finding the sticky post designation. I’m on Windows 7 using FF 31, Chrome 36 and IE 11.

Are you trying to publish from a tablet, or a regular computer/laptop? Some WordPress bloggers have mentioned various screen issues on tablets.

timethief, I’m trying various steps you mentioned. Obviously WordPress is changing some features. When I click edit on a posted blog, I get a “beep beep boop” waiting screen, then a blue editing screen rather than a black editing screen. Plus the URL looks different to me: https://wordpress.com/post/ (followed by two sets of numbers). In the past the URL always included something like wp-admin, I think. I did change from http: to https: in my Personal Settings. I can’t clear my cache in Firefox 31.0 – I have many websites from way back that I’m saving in my History since I haven’t bookmarked them. My WordPress screens looks exactly the same in Firefox (on PC with WIn XP) and Chrome (on iPad).
Do you know of any official press releases or “user help” articles that have come out from WordPress, regarding changes in features? I love using stickies – hopefully I can find the tickbox. Thanks again for your suggestions.

WordPress, come on. Once again you fixed something that wasn’t broken in the first place, and in the process you broke it. I too cannot find the “sticky post” option.

The workaround is in this thread on page 2 and reposted on page 4 in BOLD.
