Can't find template dropdown box in 'Page Attributes' in 'Page Settings'

  Hi, I’m trying to add the Eventbrite Events page template to a new WordPress page, but the template-selection box under ‘Page Attributes’ in ‘Page Settings’ is missing (even though the help file actually shows the template-selection box) !!

  Please help, thanks !!

  Hi,

  The special built-in page templates available on this theme evidently can not be assigned at Page Attributes. The Eventbrite Multi Event theme guide says:

  You can find how to set these pages by going to Appearance → Theme Options at yourgroovysite.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ – or visit our support page.

  The support page link goes to the Eventbrite Multi Event theme section of the Eventbrite support page, but I don’t find a trace of instructions regarding these templates in this section. Have you tried the alternative, at Theme Options? I don’t have an Eventbrite account and don’t want to sign up, so this option isn’t available for me to test.

  Hi cbgsa,

  I’m not in a position to look at the actual code right now, but as musicdoc1 mentioned, it sounds like you have to link your Eventbrite account in the Theme Options before you can create events. I’d give that a try and see if that clears anything up.

  With the two Eventbrite themes, you don’t need to select a page template in the page editor. Those are the only two themes where that’s the case.

  Instead, you assign them in the old WP Admin dashboard, under Appearance > Theme Options:

  the “or visit our support page” suggestion is unhelpful, since the support page includes no instruction at all regarding how to set up the special page templates available only on the two Eventbrite themes.

  Thanks a lot everyone! This is starting to work now. Indeed it turns out I had to go to the old wp-admin page for “Theme Options” to assign the Eventbrite events to a specified page on the website!
