Cant find the option to add a widget in my sidebar

  Hi

  I am trying to add a widget to my wordpress blog site but I don’t see any option for it on the sidebar menu to the left. I see Stats, Plan, Blog Post, Pages, Themes, etc….but where do I go to add a widget??

  Also I have noticed that the layout has significantly changed from what it was a few months ago. The page didnt look like the way it does right now. I’m so confused. please help
