Can't find themes
-
I have found a theme on another site, that I think looks really awesome. It’s called Alizee, and it says that it is a WordPress theme. But when I search for it under ‘Themes’, I can’t find it. What’s the reason?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Alizee, and it says that it is a WordPress theme. But when I search for it under ‘Themes’, I can’t find it. What’s the reason?
The reason is that theme is for WordPress.org installs.
All the availables themes for WordPress.com are here:

Ahh, i see. And what’s the difference of wordpress.org and .com? Does that mean, that if i choose Alizee, my domain can only be .org? Even if I have my own domainname?

It’s not about domains. It’s about platforms, see above.

@dixpax: The documentation that @galois linked to will help explain the key differences between WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org.
Here at WordPress.com we do have hundreds of hand-picked themes available in our repository. I encourage you to have a browse about and use the filters at the top:
If you let me know a little about what your site’s going to be about and some key features that you’d like, I’ll be happy to help with some specific suggestions too.

Wauw thank you guys so much! I love the support.
@siobhyb
It’s going to be a blog about personal development and motivation. I’d like for it to be really simple, kinda like http://www.stayclassy.dk (but not the same theme). I like how the frontpage has the articles shown. Furthermore I need a header where I can put different categories, and filter the different articles. If you could suggest some free themes and some who cost money I would be one happy bunny!

The theme being used on stayclassy.dk is Hive, which is a Premium theme that’s available in our repository.
Rebalance is a free theme that’s similar in some ways to Hive: The posts are laid out in blocks on the home page and you could add links to different categories in the menu along the top of the page.
Rosalie, Janice, and Didi are further suggestions of Premium themes that prominently feature posts and have been designed with lifestyle bloggers in mind.
Baskerville is one of my favourite free themes for bloggers as well, which I think you might like.
Theme choice is very much down to personal preference, though, so I also encourage you to have a browse through:
