Can’t find username.wordpress.com domains

  Hi there! I just signed up for WordPress and am excited to start my blog. A friend of mine recommended I start with WordPress because it is easy to use, and free. However, when I began the process of creating my website name, I could not find the ‘___.wordpress.com’ extension. Is this no longer available as an option for a free WordPress blog?

  Any help you can offer would be most appreciated, thank you!

  Hi,

  When you get to the, Give your site an address, screen the first options display choices for purchasing custom domains. Directly below that is the free address that you can select and sign up with. You’ll see the word Free right next to the select button.

  If you prefer a *.wordpress.com address rather than one of the free .blog subdomains we now also offer, skip the first step in the signup flow asking you what your site is about.
