can't find who my domain was purchased through

  In trying to transfer my domain, I have to find out where it is? Wild West Domains is listed as the registrar on my domain, but I’ve never purchased through them, therefore they do not have an account for me and I’m unable to transfer my domain. I’ve only ever used WP.com; WP.org and Bluehost, but Bluehost says I have to go through Wild West. Wild West says I don’t have an account? I don’t know how to find this information.

  Whois does not offer this info, it only shows who it’s registered with.
