Can’t Follow a Blog or Comments

I was subscribed to a blog that is hosted on WordPress. Suddenly I was no longer receiving updates every time a post was published. More recently, when I enter a comment and click the box to follow future comments, I don’t get the confirmation e-mail anymore asking if I really want to follow, and when I look at the list of followed comments, there is nothing marked as pending. When I go to the my list of blogs that I follow in my WordPress account (under “Reader”), I see an “X” under new posts, a tick under new comments, “Paused” under e-mail frequency. When I click on the three dots to the right I see the screen below but when I try to activate the first two items, they won’t move. I have several other subscriptions listed and none of them are giving me the same issue. I spoke with the blog manager and he can’t see any issues.

Hi there! I can see you have successfully subscribed to blogs. When those bloggers publish posts, they are sent as emails to your account’s address. I can see the emails successfully leave our system.

While the emails are successfully sent, there could still be a couple issues that stop emails from actually getting to you:
- Please check that your email address is correct; you can do so by going to your account settings at https://wordpress.com/me/account
- At your email program, check your spam folder and all other folders there might be categorized, such as “social” or “newsletters”. Sometimes our emails unfortunately mistakenly end up there, and if that’s the case, you can mark the emails as “not spam” and the issue should not happen again in future.
