Can’t format text in blog to look a certain way!
-
Time Thief, I’m trying to emulate my blog to look similar to yours…I really like what you did with this template. Did you use any coding?
I using my blog posts as way to show a thumbnail of each product I’ve produced for a client (with a “Read More” at end of each blurb so they can click unto the entire brochure, etc) but can’t seen to get the text to format the way I want it.
Below is how I WANT it to appear on my blog post…instead it just all runs together. Is there a way I can get it to look like it does below–with the thumbnail on the left of the text?
Also, I changed my client testimonial to another color but it keeps defaulting back to black. This is the client testimonial:
“As always, thanks for doing such a great job with these travel planners…you are a consummate storyteller, We love your work!–Bob Bates, Creative Director, Bates & LeeProduct: Direct-Mail Piece on Bermuda (Long-body copy)
Client: American Express Travel
Target Market: American Express Cardholders
Agency: Bates & Lee Advertising
Tone: Sophisticated, lively style with a comic flair for the high-end traveler.
Challenges: (1) To overcome the impression of Bermuda as being too staid and (2) to sell Bermuda as a place to go off-season.Please help!

(Sorry for repeat of the pasted copy.)
I meant to qualify my problem. It’s not the ACTUAL post that has the problem but rather the “teaser post” (not sure what the WP lingo for it)…the preview, if you will. For some reason, that doesn’t keep the formatting…it just all runs together.

Hi. From Panos’ blog:
When only the beginnings of posts are displayed, all html tags are stripped out. This means that italics etc. will show as plain text, links will also show as plain text and won’t be active, and images etc. won’t show up at all in those beginnings.

@jennikeast: No, timethief hasn’t used any coding. Her regular front page posts are just like yours: plain black text (because of the reason airodyssey pointed out).
If you’re talking about her two highlighted posts, that’s a standard option of the theme. See here:
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/04/26/featured-postsimages-in-inuit-types/To preserve the colored text on your front page posts, you need to switch the editor to HTML, copy the part you want, paste it into the Excerpt module, click Update.
