can’t get a username

    Hello,

    I have a friend who wants to get a username so he can comment on my blog, TPZoo, but after he puts in his info and clicks the button, all he gets is a white screen. I got the same result when I tried to get a username for him.

    Here’s his info:
    Xisithrus
    (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    What’s up with that?

    Zooey
    (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    Others don’t need an account in order to leave comments. Or does he want an account so he can have an avatar showing on your blog?

    I found this doing a quick forum search, does that seem like what’s happening with your friend? It sounds like something only staff can fix, so you might want to send an email to support about it when they open on Monday.

    Like MMSL said, though, you don’t have to be logged in to leave a comment; you just need to make sure that the membership box isn’t checked in Dashboard > Options and anyone should be able to comment. Unless you need your readers to be registered?
