WordPress policy is that deleted blog addresses stay deleted and can not be reused.

You can read the details here:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

“Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to reuse its WordPress.com address (such as yourgroovysite.wordpress.com).”

I cannot connect with your blog to see a deleted by author message. I get a blank paged. I see this report http://ismyblogworking.com/susheelindulkar.wordpress.com I believe your blog may be caught up in a duplicate blog glitch Staff are fixing. I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. thanks a lot eggbizdev.

that’s so sad! so i can’t get my blog address with my own name ever in this lifetime! why is that? in their explanation they say that its because someone may take away my blog address and that might turn into an embarrassing situation for me in future. but what if it is me who has deleted the blog – not knowing that my blog address will be gone for ever – and want to get the address back?

i mean (i am not very good at understanding these technical things, but) is it not possible for them to verify my email address as it is the same so they can verify and confirm if i am the same person or not?

@timethief i don’t know why you get that page but if you click on my blog address link on that page, it does take you to the “the authors have deleted this site” page. doesn’t it?

When you delete it, you get three warnings saying deleting it is permanent and irreversible and neither you nor anyone else can ever use that URL again. If you skipped past them, it’s too bad, but you can’t get a dead URL back.

@raincoaster, yes you are right. it was quite foolish of me to not understand the implications precisely. perhaps at that time i thought it to be the same as not being able to undo the deletion. little did i understand that it meant not getting back that address every after. :(
