Can't get domain name to search optimize, only WordPress url. Help please.

  So here’s my situation. My blog is: geeklyworldnewsorg.wordpress.com. I bought a domain(www.GeeklyWorldNews.org) and forwarded it to my WordPress blog. But no sites are using the domain name for searches, only the WordPress url. How can I get that to change? I want Google and all other search engines to recognize GeeklyWorldNews.org as the site.

  Thanks for the reply. I just looked that up, but it costs to do that. I don’t get it. What exactly would I be paying for?

  Forgive me, I’m new to domains and search engine optimization and all that stuff, so I don’t mean to offend anyone. I’m just trying to figure this out.
