Can't get featured image on Fictive theme

    Hi there,
I just recently switched to the Fictive theme. I want to put a featured image in my post but can’t seem to do it. I have uploaded an image as my featured image but it does not display. Is there a setting I have missed or what a I doing wrong?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The Fictive theme guide says, “Featured Images are displayed above the post content on the blog index and archive pages at 634 pixels wide.” Featured images might not appear if you upload images smaller than 634 pixels in width. Are you using the featured image module in the right sidebar of the post editor?

I refer to the WordPress.com Fictive theme guide

Hi there! Thanks for replying. My image is definitely not smaller than 634 pixels in width and I’m using the featured image module. Is there anything else I should be doing :(

Silly me! Featured images don’t show on the post page itself, but only on the homepage. Thanks for trying to help anyway :)

Featured images don’t show on the post page itself…

Actually, they can, but it depends upon the post format used. The Fictive theme guide says,

Image-formatted posts display the featured image on single post view as well.

In the demo, the post “Beach Bums For a Day” has the featured image displayed on both the homepage and the single post. Evidently the camera symbol at the bottom of the image indicates that the “image” post format has been used.
