Can't get google calendar to function

  I’ve set up my blog and followed the instructions for embedding the google calendar using the text widget. I do see a calendar but not of the days I have events schduled are active or clickable. I did make the calendar public as well. I would like to make the calendar functional. Alternatively, I could do an feed of upcomng events but when I tried the rss widget and asked for date to be displayed it showed the date I made the appointment, not the day of the actual event. It also mis-displayed one of the event times. Any help would be appreciated. I’ve been at this for some time now.
