Can’t get My Images to Show
-
Hi,
I’m suddenly having a horrible time placing images in my blog. They’re already uploaded. I can see them under “Media Library Link” but WordPress seems to have changed the way you upload and/or change images, and now nothing’s working right. I want to change the image on my Welcome Page. It let me delete what I was using at first, but no matter how many times I select the new image and try to place it on the Welcome page, NOTHING SHOWS. This was so much easier before WordPress “improved” it. Can anyone help me…PLEASE!
Thanks,
Rita -
maybe go to photbucket, upload yr images there and copy the [img] code in the HTML section when u are writing yr post

Have you tried …
– on the page/post edit page click on the first icon next to the grey Add Media (when you hover over the icon it says Add Image).
– click on Media Library tab
– find the image you want and click the “show” link next to it
– click Insert Image Into Post
I have had a few problems with it. If you see a blank square and (in Internet Explorer anyway) a yellow warning triangle in the bottom of the browser you might want to try closing your browser and trying again.
I’ve also noticed my images going missing on and off the last couple of days so it might be you just need to try again later. There seems to be some teething problems.

This just started for me when I got a “server maintenance” message a couple hours ago. If I upload an image, the thumbnail does not show up on the image upload window (or in media library), and when I insert the image into a post, it does not show up there, or in the preview, or when I publish the post. If I take the image URL and put it in the browser address bar, the image shows up just fine, so the image has uploaded properly. Three blogs, and all three of them will not display an image in the editor or in a post.
I, having had virtually no problems with the image side of things after the upgrade, seem to be getting my medicine today.
Both FF 2.0.0.14 and Safari 3.1, Mac OS X 10.4.11

The image problem is frustrating. Getting images placed where I want them is only achieved by re-coding the image information manually. I’m using Firefox 2.0.0.14. And the preview is of no help.
I don’t expect that we’ll be going back to the old way of handling images but at the very least it should work better than it does. I’ve been reluctant to include images in my posts and only do so now when absolutely necessary since I just don’t have the time to re-code every single entry.

I’m having a similar problem. I cannot get the images to show in my posts unless I use the “Tree” image icon and cut and paste the URL. The problem with that is although the image shows up, it won’t display the description when you roll over it. UGH!!!

Well… the same problem over here. No images placed in my blog . I can’t even see the full editor page . It doesn’t allow me to choose and see through all the options.
that’s really frustrating. I can’t place the images where I want them or resize them. -
I’ve have the same trouble, but download it 2 times. then delete the one that didn’t work and there you go!
