Can't get my new wordpress site to appear
-
I had my registrar “map may domain?” to the new website I built on wordpress. They used the IP address because they are still going to host my email account – I guess if they had used the “nameservers” my email would not work anymore?)
Anyway, when you type in cjscountrydance dot com you still get my old website (black, pink, turquoise) built for me 7 years ago by a graphic designer, not the new one (blues and greys with a photo of cowboy on a horse at the top of the page that I built using wordpress).
This is my first attempt at website building, so I am an ABSOLUTE BEGINNER when it comes to these things.
I’m wondering if it might be because when my friend first helped me get set up in wordpress, we named my website cjscountrydance2.wordpress.com – I think that was so that my old site would stay active until the new one was ready to go????
Am I correct? That, if I change the cjscountrydance2.wordpress.com to cjscountrydance.wordpress.com my newly built site will appear ?
If so, how/where do I go to ‘fix’ the name (by removing the 2).
If that isn’t the problem, can you tell me what my next step would be to get this resolved?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi. This is the proper way to map an existing domain name to a WordPress.com-hosted blog (regardless of its address, regardless of there being a 2 or not)
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/From there, here’s how you can tell WordPress.com where your existing mail server is (by entering the information your existing mail provider will give you).
