Can’t get notifications

I am not able to get any notifications from WordPress despite having checked all my settings.
I see that this request will go to the forums but I am concerned I won’t be able to receive the help as I’m not receiving ANY notifications. Is there somewhere else I can get help without waiting for an email? I would appreciate any help.Thank you

I’ve taken a look and it looks like there’s notifications arriving inside of WordPress.com and these can be seen when clicking on the bell.
Can you tell me if you’re getting notifications via email? If not, you may want to check the notification settings here: https://wordpress.com/me/notifications

Thanks so much aleone89. I am not getting any notifications by email whatsoever. This is the problem. I haven’t been getting them for several months and I’m at my wits end to find out why.

Ok, you would need to rule out anything wrong with the email address there (for instance, spam filters or anything of that nature.)
An easy way to do this, would be to change the email address on the account here: https://wordpress.com/me/account and see if you’re getting notifications.
It might be worth checking with the email provider if there’s anything a miss with the inbox there.

Thanks for that. I have checked all the junk filters previously, as this has been going on for months, but there are no emails getting.
However I have just changed the email address, as you suggest, so hopefully they’ll start to come through. Fingers crossed. It’s been so annoying. -
Yep, well I don’t think that has worked either. I have the weekly emails set to come in on Friday night – for blogs I follow – and nothing has come in this evening.
Very frustrating indeed.

Ah, thank you fstat. I actually just got your notification in an email, so that’s a good sign.
I’m sad I can’t use my original email address though. Still don’t know what the hell has happened along the way.

It looks like we’ve narrowed the issue to the email address.
You should reach out to the email address provider to see if they can unblock anything there.
Who is the email provider? Perhaps we can search for a support page.

Thank you. I got a whole bunch of weekly emails last night too.
My email provider is Bigpond, which is Telstra (in Australia). I’m not sure if you’re in Australia.Thanks for the help.
I guess I’ll get around to contacting them at some stage (very arduous) but at least I have a small win for now.Cheers.

If needed, you’re welcome to change the email address here to another provider, at least until they’ve resolved this issue:
https://wordpress.com/me/accountYou would just need to use an email that’s not already in use on another account, and then you’d need to watch that email for a confirmation link, and click that.
