Can't get onto my dashboard.

  I did recommended updates and now I can’t get into the dashboard to post new entries, etc. Please help–this cannot wait until Oct. 21st. It says your server is down?

  When I did updates it open to page that says updates will take awhile then it defers to a page that says Word Press server is down–but now I can’t get into my site’s dashboard–surely this can’t be possible! I usually haven’t updated for fear of this very thing! Help–please!
