Can't get past the beep beep bop

Trying to edit a recent post and cannot get beyond the waving beep, beep stuff. What gives? Cannot edit of my posts…

Why use it at all? I don’t. You cannot deactivate the new Beep Beep Boop editor but you do not have to use it. On the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
To create posts in the classic editor for you that link is http://stoutstandards.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.phpIf you have cookies enabled on your browser your preference will be saved unless or until your clear your cookies, and it will take you to the classic editor automatically every time you create a new post via the drop-down menu in the black admin bar or edit a post via the edit button on the blog itself.

go the Posts -> All Posts menu, hover over the post title and click the Edit link.

I’m having exactly the same problem. No matter which way I try to open up a new post, it won’t let me. Just does the ‘Beep beep boop’ thing. What’s going on???

Okay then. I notice that all three of you are using old themes, Pilcrow and Coraline. Maybe that’s a factor or maybe not.

I made a free account earlier today with the intent of taking my current blog from tumblr to wordpress. After registering and setting up my basic account, I am unable to make new posts. It simply stats beep beep boop endlessly. I tried clearing my cache as was mentioned on one of the forums. It did nothing.
The blog I need help with is cantsleepblogblog.wordpress.com.

Same problem. I can’t create a new post or edit an old one. I have three sites, all different themes, all the same problem.

I’ve had some problems opening a draft. But I figured a strange workaround by hitting “preview” first, scrolling to the bottom of the resulting page, and then hitting “edit”.

I understand what you are saying…..the point I was trying to make is why do we have to use a workaround? What happened to the “usual” way?
